Timesbold live in Utrecht again

I knew for quite a while, but was not allowed to say it. Timesbold will do another show in Utrecht, supporting King Me and Julia P. Or is that the other way around? Who cares, in this world of honest artists there are no egos...
They will play on April 8, in dB's. Maybe see you there, I'll be mixing the sound for King Me.

Alone with Easter

But writing and recording a song nonetheless! It's called Happy Easter and can be used as an Easter-song. But wait, there are no Easter-songs, are there? Just Easter-eggs... Anyways, just mail it to a friend if you want to give a song for Easter.
You can listen and download here. I also wrote another song and put that on the web a few days ago. that one is called I come to my senses. So if you want to keep up with my music production, you better start listening...

Recorded a new song

I'm writing songs all the time, but sometimes I find the time to record one. Together with my pal Reaganesk I recorded "I come to my senses". I also discovered a new recording technique: one mic, one room and shout! This is the first production since I moved to my new rooms. Listen to it here.

Whip (Timesbold singer) and King Me live in a livingroom!

This is not official yet. But! Keep checking out the Live in the Living website, because the singer of Timesbold might perform an acoustic set in someone's livingroom in Haarlem! His act is called Whip. So the music is new, as well... I'll be there if it happens, of course. But will you be?
O yeah, if it happens, it will be on the 10th of April.

I wrote this a while ago, but wasn't allowed to put it on yet. Now I hear it's almost sold out... When wil I learn to just post it even though they ask you not to? ;)

Illicit live at USVA in Groningen

Illicit live at USVA in GroningenI had to do a photoshoot for them in Utrecht. Then they asked me if I wanted to join them for their gig that night in the USVA at Groningen. Groningen is a 3 hours drive.
"Shure", I replied... I had never seen them before, and I was blown away by their sound, and their 'realness' as a hiphop collective. The audience ate out of their hand. If they keep up like this, they're going to make it far. You can find a story on the band's upcoming album here, together with some other pics of me.

Phantom Frank of the Treble Spankers is back

Phantom Frank of the Phantom FourWith the Treble Spankers, he founded one of the most important bands of the nineties. When Phantom Frank had to quit playing guitar because of RSI, no one thought he would be playing surf again. But he's back. All the magic is still there. The name is different now, his band is called The Phantom Four. The kids in Paradiso didn't know The Treble Spankers, but they wanted to know more about The Phantom Four and asked for a cd. The band is so fresh, there's nothing out yet. Any record label worth it's salt should try to make a deal with this band, because they are still relevant to the audience today.

Will Christina be ASG's latest addition?

Christina and Hester in ParadisoI can't wait to hear her play. Christina by the way, is the girl on the left. Hester is her friend. Hester comes from the same godforsaken town as me. She knows Ottoboy very well, so we have mutual friends :)
Hopefully Chris will play some songs after the ASG show in Dwaze Zaken, next Sunday.
I will play there too, together with some other singer/songwriters of the Guild. More info on the gig you can find on the Amsterdam Songwriters Guild website.
